We at YO STUDIOS Aarhus are thrilled to offer you all events focused on yoga and meditation hosted by Maude Hirst and Dylan Ayaloo.

We asked Maude to tell us a little about herself and her movement philosophy. Read along below!

HI MAUDE! TELL US ABOUT YOURSELF?

Hey YO STUDIOS I’m so excited to come and hold a workshop with you. Let me introduce myself, my name’s Maude Hirst, I’m an actor, writer, yoga/meditation teacher and Theta healer but I’m probably best known as Helga from the TV show Vikings.
I have spent the past year of my life submersing myself in yoga, meditation and mindfulness and have discovered some incredible new tools that help me live a more joyful and empowered life. I am now passionate about creating a safe, playful space to share all of these tools with as many people as I can, to assist them to live in the same empowered way.

FILL US IN ON YOUR MOVEMENT PHILOSOPHY?

I believe that movement is the key to discovering your inner truth. Our bodies are like books, holding our life experiences within their pages. When we sit still we filter the world only through our brains but by bringing movement into our lives, we allow for a greater truth to be discovered and expressed.
If you’re feeling unsatisfied or unhappy in your life, I believe movement is the key to change. Emotions are just energy in motion. Move your body and your emotions will shift too.

WHY IS YOGA AND MEDITATION IMPORTANT TO YOU, AND WHAT DOES IT GIVE YOU TO GUIDE OTHERS?

Starting yoga and meditation on a regular bases totally transformed my life. In a world that is so full of external pressures and distractions, finding some time to reflect inwardly and observe my inner world, helped me totally de-clutter my external world. Both practices have given me an ability to explore who I truly am and gain the confidence to share what I have discovered.

YOUR RECIPE FOR A BALANCED EVERY DAY, HEALTHY BODY AND MIND?

My recipe is a small amount of consistency leads to big change
– A daily meditation practice (even if it’s just 10 minutes)
– 3 pages of stream of consciousness writing – to get the creative juices flowing
– A yoga practice (as often as I can)
– Eat healthily but also allow space for chocolate 🙂
– Work hard at what you love doing but keep friendships and relationships a big priority

WHAT WILL PEOPLE GET FROM ATTENDING YOUR YOGA AND MEDITATION WORKSHOP AT YO STUDIOS?

My workshops will involve getting an awesome group of people together to share what I love the most, yoga, movement meditation, seated meditation, snacks, chats and to top it all off a goodie bag to go home with. Expect a friendly, supportive atmosphere and come ready to explore some new techniques to guide you into your own power.
