Welcome to YO CARLSBERG BYEN, Ny Carlsberg Vej! Your local movement studio in Vesterbro, offering a wide variety of high-quality movement classes – choose from more than 80 sessions each week. Our pilates, yoga, barre, and dance classes take place in beautiful surroundings and are designed to create positive energy and a true joy of movement. Whatever your level, you’ll find a class that suits you – and always feel welcome.

Just 500 meters away, on Bohrsgade, you’ll find our second location in Carlsberg Byen, with reformer, functional, and cardio classes as well as an open gym.

FACILITIES

  • Our bright and spacious studio combines an urban-industrial style with warmth, natural light, and plenty of good energy in the heart of historic Carlsberg Byen – a movement home you’ll want to return to again and again!

  • Relax in our beautiful lounge before and after your workout. There’s tea brewing, cold water, and snacks that you’re welcome to enjoy.

    Have a chat with your workout buddy or take a quiet moment for yourself – and enjoy YO a little longer :)

  • We offer clean and well-maintained changing and shower facilities. The shower cabins are equipped with shampoo and conditioner, which you are free to use.

    In the changing rooms, you will find lockers where you can securely store your belongings.

  • At our MAMMA classes, which are specially designed postnatal training sessions, you are welcome to bring your baby along.

    There is plenty of space to relax and spend time with your baby in the lounge area after class. If you need boiling water for a bottle, food, or anything else, you are free to use our electric kettle.

    We also provide a changing station with everything you need.

  • With a Premium membership or a punch card for YO CARLSBERG BYEN, you also get full access to the Open Gym and reformer, functional and cardio classes - including HYROX and Run & Strength.

    Our second location is on Bohrsgade, just 500 meters away.

PRACTICAL INFORMATION

  • The studio is open whenever classes are scheduled on the schedule.

    With more than 80 classes per week, you can get moving from 6:30 AM to 9:30 PM on most days!

  • Ny Carlsbergvej 144, ground floor, 1799 Copenhagen V.

  • The studio is located in the heart of Carlsberg Byen – just a few minutes’ walk from Carlsberg Station.

    Look for the statue with the two big elephants: We’re just 100 meters down the street in a modern brick building at ground level. Spot the YO sign – the door is right there!

  • There are several paid parking options in Carlsberg Byen – both in underground parking garages and on street level close to the studio.

CLASS TYPES AT YO NY CARLSBERG VEJ

  • Up to 30 yoga classes on the schedule each week. For example:

    • YO HATHA FIRE: We hold the poses for longer periods of time, building strength, endurance, and presence.

    • YO YIN YOGA: Calm and relaxing, with long holds and a focus on stillness.

    • YO VINYASA SOFT: A gentle vinyasa class at a slow pace, where breath and movement flow together.

  • Up to 15 Pilates classes per week. Try:

    • YO PILATES MATWORK: Strength and flexibility for the entire body through calm, controlled movements.

    • YO PILATES FLOW: Energetic and dynamic, with a focus on mobility, balance, and control.

  • Up to 15 dance classes per week. Choose for example between:

    • YO BARRE FIRE: An energetic barre class with a higher tempo, elevated heart rate, and intensity.

    • YO CONTEMPORARY DANCE BASIC: Technique and choreography taught in a fun and creative way - suitable for everyone.

    • YO FLOORWORK: We explore how to move fluidly and with control on the floor.

  • Up to 20 strength and fitness classes on the schedule each week. For example:

    • YO TRX BASIC: A full-body workout using TRX and functional mat exercises to build strength and endurance.

    • YO STRENGTH & STRETCH: A full-body workout at a calm pace with a focus on strength, followed by stretching.

  • Up to 12 classes per week on the schedule. For example:

    • YO PREGGO YOGA: For pregnant women. Focused on breathwork and mobility.

    • YO PREGGO BARRE: For pregnant women. A ballet-inspired flow that builds strength, mobility, and balance.

    • YO MAMMA YOGA: For new mothers (babies are welcome). A gentle class designed to help you reconnect with your body through breath, movement, and presence.

    As a pregnant woman or new mother, you are always welcome to join all our classes at YO CARLSBERG BYEN - the instructor will gladly provide modifications when needed.
